DESPRE SIMBIOZA MUNCĂ - PERFORMANȚĂ CU GABRIELA SZABO, LA COMPLEXUL EDUCAȚIONAL LAUDER-REUT

Pe data de 12 mai 2017, Complexul Educațional Lauder-Reut a avut onoarea de a primi ca invitată pe una dintre cele mai mari atlete, atât din Romania, cât și din lume - Gabriela Szabo. Cu ocazia acestui eveniment, Gabriela Szabo le-a povestit elevilor despre viața și cariera ei, răspunzând apoi întrebărilor elevilor și făcând fotografii alături de aceștia.

Gabriela Szabo și-a început discursul prin a povesti cum întâmplarea a făcut ca ea să fie aleasă pentru a practica atletismul, spre surpriza părinților ei. Chiar de la început, ea a fost cucerită de ideea de a face performanță în atletism. Gabriela a povestit despre cât de multă muncă stă în spatele rezultatelor excepționale pe care le-a avut, despre ce înseamnă pasiunea, dedicația și perseverența în atingerea performanței. De asemenea, le-a povestit elevilor cât de importante sunt lucrurile pe care ea le-a învățat prin intermediul sportului, despre felul în care calitățile necesare pentru rezultate la cel mai înalt nivel pot fi integrate în orice experiență.

Premiile și titlurile atletei sunt absolut impresionante, fiind considerată de mulți ca fiind cea mai mare atletă a tuturor timpurilor. Ea a obținut 12 titluri mondiale și numeroase medalii olimpice. Un alt aspect deosebit și foarte rar întâlnit este faptul că ea a participat și a obținut medalii la mai multe probe sportive. În mod obișnuit, sportivii de performanță nu reușesc să se distingă la mai multe discipline sportive, însă Gabriela a reușit să obțină rezultate maxime la trei probe: cea de 1500 m, 3000 m și 5000 m. La toate a obtinut locuri pe podium la olimpiade și la alte competiții mondiale. Pe lângă acestea, a mai participat cu rezultate foarte bune (locul 4 – cea mai înaltă clasare a unui sportiv din România) la proba de cross.

După ce a povestit cu entuziasm și onestitate despre viața ei, elevii i-au pus întrebări. Ei au fost interesați despre cum s-a simțit purtând echipamentul României, iar Gabriela a povestit cu emoție despre ceea ce înseamnă să-ți reprezinți țara. Cu prilejul altor întrebări, elevii au aflat despre starea de spirit pe care atleta o avea înainte de concurs – emoțiile fiindu-i înăbușite de cunoașterea propriei sale valori. Gabriela Szabo a fost un lider în competițiile la care a participat, ea impunându-se prin starea ei de spirit în fața celorlalte alergătoare. De asemenea, a mai povestit despre stilul ei aparte de a alerga, acest stil fiind ulterior studiat și predat în școli de atletism.

Campioana a povestit și despre momentul în care a hotărât să se retragă din sport. Le-a povestit elevilor cum se duc „lupte” între minte și corp – uneori corpul dictându-i minții ce poate și ce nu, dar cel mai des mintea spunându-i corpului ce este cel mai ințelept. Așa se face că Gabriela Szabo s-a retras într-un moment când încă se află la înalțimea performanței, spunându-le elevilor despre o zicală din sport: „Mai bine să se întrebe de ce te retragi, decât să te roage să te retragi.”

Cu zîmbete, bucurie și emoție, elevii Lauder-Reut – în special cei care practică ei înșiși sportul de performanță – au făcut fotografii împreună cu această legendă a atletismului.

Acest eveniment a fost un prilej extraordinar pentru a-i motiva pe elevi spre a munci și a se dedica pentru a obține rezultate maxime în activitățile pentru care au înclinații. Gabriela Szabo este un exemplu extraordinar de urmat, atât pentru pasiunea și capacitatea ei de muncă, cât și pentru încrederea în sine necesară unui leader adevărat. Felul ei prietenos și entuziast a captivat elevii care au ascultat-o. Gabriela este mai mult decât un mare sportiv de performanță, este un exemplu pentru cum să-ți trăiești viața cu dragoste, ambiție și pasiune, elemente esențiale pentru rezultate excepționale.

 Gabriela Szabo este unul dintre acei sportivi, nu foarte multi totuși, care impresionează orice audiență, în orice colț al lumii. Astfel încât, ocazia de a o vedea pe viu, în carne și oase, în sala de sport a școlii a fost un binemeritat premiu pentru nu știu ce faptă bună. Timp de o oră și jumătate, fosta mare sportivă a rememorat pentru noi momentele importante ale unei cariere încununate cu nenumarate medalii, la toate competițiile sportive reprezentative: campionate europene, mondiale și Olimpiadă.

 Pentru elevii noștri, întâlnirea a însemnat o deschidere către lumea exclusivistă a sportului de excelență; Gabriela Szabo a subliniat că, pentru a rămâne într-o asemenea companie, este nevoie de voință, de pasiune și de talent. A început sportul de performanță la 14 ani, a plecat de acasă la 15 ani, iar la 17 deja reușea să se întrețină fără ajutorul părinților, din atletism. Cu toate acestea, nu a neglijat școala și recunoaște că a avut mereu susținerea părinților și a antrenorilor.

Gabriela Szabo face diferența între sportul de performanță și cel de excelență, în condițiile în care în cea de-a doua categorie se încadrează puținii atleți care au atins performanțele supreme și reușesc să se mențină la acest nivel de-a lungul întregii cariere. De aceea, momentul retragerii, la 28 de ani, a fost extrem de dificil; deși sportiva din ea voia să continue, rațiunea a câștigat, cand a înțeles că organismul nu mai face față exigențelor unui asemenea nivel. Deși a câștigat medalii la toate competițiile europene și mondiale, recunoaște că participarea la Olimpiadă este marele țel al atleților din întreaga lume, unicul scop: Orice atlet se simte împlinit cu adevărat doar dacă a putut să își reprezinte țara la Olimpiadă, iar câștigarea unei medalii la această competiție nu se compară cu nimic altceva.

 Datorită unor calități native evidente, dar mai ales muncii pentru împlinirea visului de a fi cea mai bună, Gabriela Szabo este cel mai medaliat atlet al României, cu 11 titluri de campioană mondială și multe altele de campioană europeană și olimpică. De asemenea, în 1999, a fost declarată de FIA cel mai bun atlet din lume.

 Recunosc, povestea Gabrielei Szabo m-a impresionat mai mult decat aș fi crezut, pentru că știam cine este, pentru că i-am urmarit de atâtea ori, cu sufletul la gură, cursele incredibile. Faptul că am văzut-o atât de aproape, atât de apropiată de copii a avut, probabil, același efect pe care îl are întâlnirea unui puști cu sportivul lui favorit. Mi-a părut rău că timpul a trecut atât de repede, că trebuie să ne reîntoarcem în lumea obișnuită...

 Thessa Băluțeanu (VII A): Mă bucur că școala ne prilejuiește întâlnirea cu astfel de oameni importanți, care pot deveni modele pentru noi. M-a impresionat Gabriela Szabo și am înțeles că orice lucru valoros se obține cu multă muncă și cu pasiune.

 Ioana Tudor (VII A) : Gabriela Szabo este un motiv de mândrie pentru toți românii, pentru ca performanțele ei au făcut cunoscut numele României în întreaga lume. Mă bucur că am avut ocazia să o cunosc personal.

 Mihnea Vasilică (VII A): Deși sunt pasionat de fotbal, recunosc că întâlnirea cu Gabriela Szabo a fost foarte interesantă. Este impresionant să cunoști îndeaproape marii campioni ai sportului mondial. Pentru noi, elevii, astfel de personalități sunt adevărate modele, care ne demonstrează că dorința și munca sunt singurele metode de a obține ceva valoros și durabil.

 Sarah Daniel (X U): În cadrul Complexului Educațional Lauder- Reut, am avut ocazia de a întâlni una dintre cele mai cunoscute sportive, la nivel internațional: Gabriela Szabo.

Ne-au fost povestite experiențe din mediul vast al atletismului - competiții mondiale, olimpiade sportive, medalii numeroase, premii excepționale. Ne dăm seama de faptul că viața unui sportiv este dificilă, mai ales atunci când țelurile sunt grandioase. Efortul fizic este depus până la epuizare, intervenind totodată și consumul psihic, dar, în final, autodepășirea, în mână cu victoria, aduc sentimentul de împlinire sufletească.

 Vizita Gabrielei Szabo a venit la o zi după ce doamna Tova Ben Nun-Cherbis, președintele Complexului Educațional Lauder-Reut a primit titlul onorific Ambasador JudoforRomania, acordată de Asociația JudoforRomania, avându-l ca președinte pe domnul Cozmin Gușă. Astfel, Complexul Educațional Lauder-Reut devine centru de promovare și suținere a judo-ul românesc și a valorilor pe care acesta le propune.
