int5CE PRESUPUNE O CARIERĂ ÎN MERCHANDISING DE PE O POZIŢIE DE CONDUCERE?
Cosmin Tănase: Cel mai important element al unei cariere este pasiunea. Iar pasiunea pentru un domeniu înseamnă că, dacă ai putea să alegi din nou, ai alege exact acelaşi
lucru. Merchandising reprezintă modul în care produsele şi serviciile unei companii sunt prezentate către cumpărători. Merchandising-ul înseamnă să poziţionezi, pe primul plan, clienţii şi aşteptările acestora, să le oferi soluţii bazându-te atât pe trecut cât şi pe viitor. Pe trecut, pentru că trebuie ţinut cont de performanţele anterioare (ex. vânzări), iar pe viitor, întrucât trebuie contorizată influenţa tuturor factorilor care pot afecta decizia de cumpărare.

CUM ARATĂ O ZI OBIŞNUITĂ DE LUCRU PENTRU DUMNEAVOASTRĂ?
C.T: Nicio zi în merchandising nu e la fel, şi acesta este unul dintre motivele pentru care îmi place atât de mult domeniul. O zi obişnuită începe la 8.30, iar prima oră
este dedicată echipei. Fie că este vorba de şedinţe de departament sau de discuţii individuale, dezbatem împreună atât strategia, cât şi acţiunile tactice pentru ziua respectivă.
Desigur că îmi dedic o mare parte din timp pentru întâlniri, atât interne (cu alte departamente) cât şi externe (cu furnizori, agenţii etc.). Prefer să încep dimineaţa, cu cel puţin o întâlnire direct în magazin, în faţa raftului, printre clienţi. Acestea sunt momentele care îmi dau energie şi îmi aduc cele mai multe idei noi.
Finalul zilei mă găseste din nou în mijlocul echipei, ascultându-mi colegii, discutând şi pregătind agenda pentru zilele următoare.

CE CALITĂŢI ŞI CE ABILITĂŢI TREBUIE SĂ DEŢINĂ O PERSOANĂ PENTRU A ACCEDE PE O POZIŢIE SIMILARĂ CU A DUMNEAVOASTRĂ?
C.T: Pentru a avea succes într-un domeniu precum merchandising, ai nevoi e atât de abilităţi analitice, cât şi de comunicare şi persuasiune. Abilităţi analitice, pentru că fiecare dintre decizii trebuie să fie foarte bine argumentate; abilităţi de comunicare, pentru că implementarea unei decizii nu se poate face decât dacă toate părţile implicate sunt convinse de avantajele acesteia. Ca şi calităţi, trebuie să ştii să asculţi, să fii deschis la nou şi să ai curajul să încerci lucruri inovative.

CARE SUNT PRIMELE TREI CELE MAI IMPORTANTE LUCRURI ÎNVĂŢATE ÎN PRIMA SĂPTĂMÂNĂ ÎN CALITATE DE HEAD OF MERCHANDISING AL UNEI COMPANII DE RENUME CA METRO ROMÂNIA?
C.T: Fiecare zi de lucru în METRO România este o provocare pentru că mediul este foarte dinamic, compania este mereu implicată în proiectarea şi implementarea de soluţii noi, inovative. Primul lucru pe care l-am învăţat în METRO este că principalul pilon al unei afaceri de succes este clientul, iar în cazul METRO România  clientul este antreprenorul care cumpără din magazinele noastre.În al treilea rând, în această poziţie trebuie să înţelegi direcţia strategică a companiei şi apoi să îţi croieşti drumul spre rezultat şi să împarţi echipei sarcini punctuale cu obiectivele derivate şi apoi să urmăreşti atingerea lor. Şi aici este extrem de importantă pasiunea, dacă îţi urmezi instinctul şi dai tot ce e mai bun din tine, vei ajunge la rezultate pe care iniţial nici nu le credeai posibile.

CARE SUNT ULTIMELE ABORDĂRI ÎN MATERIE DE PREZENTARE A PRODUSELOR LA RAFT?
C.T: Shopper Marketing-ul este partea marketingului care se adresează cumpărătorului . Distincţia  între consumator (beneficiarul final al produsului) şi cumpărător (persoana care
face achiziţia) este extrem de importantă pentru că de multe ori sunt persoane diferite. Exemplul cel mai simplu pentru a ilustra această diferenţă este hrana pentru animale, categorie în care întotdeauna cumpărătorul este diferit de consumator.
Una dintre direcţiile majore ale merchandisingului este prezentarea către cumpărător a unei întregi soluţii, nu doar a produselor în categoriile din care fac parte. Acest lucru înseamnă, de exemplu, că toate ingredientele pentru prepararea unui desert să fie mercantizate în acelaşi loc. O altă direcţie este îmbinarea online-ului cu magazinul fizic. Cumpărătorii vin în magazin, văd produsele, caută informaţii despre ele pe internet şi abia apoi decid de unde să le cumpere.

PUTEŢI SĂ NE DAŢI UN EXEMPLU DE CAMPANIE ORIGINALĂ DE PROMOVARE ÎN INCINTA MAGAZINELOR DIN ROMÂNIA SAU DIN ÎNTREAGA LUME, ÎN OPINIA DUMNEAVOASTRĂ?
C.T: Rolul campaniilor de promovare la raft este de a convinge, de a influenţa comportamentul cumpărătorului şi de a-l face să achiziţioneze un produs sau un serviciu pe care în mod normal nu l-ar cumpăra în acel magazin. O campanie originală care mi-a plăcut foarte mult, implementată cu succes prima dată în Polonia, a avut ca şi cumpărător ţintă persoanele care îşi doresc să pregăteasca acasă masa de seară. La intrarea în magazin a fost plasat un touch-screen, cu ajutorul căruia cumpărătorul putea alege un fel de mâncare pe care dorea să-l prepare singur. Automatul îi tipărea apoi reţeta şi lista de ingrediente, pe care cumpărătorul urma să le achiziţioneze din magazin.
Această campanie a avut succes pentru că oferea avantaje pentru toate părţile implicate. Cumpărătorii găseau tot timpul o idee nouă pentru cină, precum şi toate ingredientele de care aveau nevoie, totul cu o economie de timp. Magazinul avea de câştigat atât pe termen scurt (vânzările creşteau pentru că toate ingredientele erau cumpărate de acolo),
cât şi pe termen lung prin loializarea clienţilor care reveneau pentru idei noi.
